Dr. Fisher graduated from New Bern High School in 1972 and attended NC State University, where he received a B.S. In Zoology. In 1980 he graduated from University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and returned home to New Bern to begin his private dental practice that same year.

Dr. Fisher is married to fellow New Bern native, Patricia Williams. They have three daughters: Sara, Betsy and Karen and a son-in-law, Cliff.

When not treating patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, boating, camping, traveling and reading. Among his other hobbies, Dr. Fisher loves to watch Carolina Basketball.

Among Dr. Fisher's professional associations are the NC Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Craven Jones Pamlico Dental Society.
